ESP LTD EC-1000 Deluxe Guitar.

Feature wise on this guitar, it’s without fault, with a mahogany body, set neck and a rosewood fretboard, this guitar feels beautiful to play. This guitar is also light, which is an enormous bonus, and an advantage over the Gibson Les Paul which is extremely heavy. The standard pickups are also excellent as they are EMG 81/60 pickups. 24 frets are also first rate, even if you don't use the 24th fret since it allows easier contact to the higher frets, though the cutaway is also incredible at doing this job, since the 24th fret is easily available. The locking tuners on the ESP-LTD 1000 are also handy since the strings don't slip out of tune as quickly, also winding the strings when restringing is not important, as the locks hold the strings in place and in tune anyway. The finish seems faultless, it’s like silk.

This guitar suits any music style, but if you play metal it absolutely rocks, it also sounds good for blues etc, as the tone of the guitar gives a great effect, even on the clean. It looks and sounds great, and also has advanced hardware.

The guitar is not noisy at all when not being played, and if you want, you are able to turn one of the volume knobs down, and use the pickup selector as a kill-switch to eliminate all noise. The neck pickup has a gorgeous bluesy sound and it is extraordinarily good for cleans. The bridge pickup alternatively is the one you want to use for harmonics and palm muting.

This ESP LTD 1000 definitely withstands live playing, played live with it countless times with no problems seen so far. I also have to mention how well balanced this guitar is. You could position it without the strap on your knee and it won't topple.

The overall impression is that it is a fantastic guitar which looks great, and easily rivals the Les Paul, which it is obviously modeled on, in many aspects. It beats it on pickups, the locking tuners, the weight and the finish, and for metal, it’s a blazing guitar, I'd have say due to these, this guitar wins the medal. This guitar is Drop Dead Gorgeous and what a jaw dropper.
