Would it help to eliminate the trolls if people started flooding Yahoo with feedback?

I wanted to answer a similar question asked by another YA member in Taiwan Travel, but he "blocked" me, so I'm writing this instead.

Since when does having a different opinion from someone else make you a "troll"? Someone else here isn't open to honest discussion, differing opinions, and information that doesn't conform to his warped view of reality. In short, he wants to silence dissent while claiming to be an advocate of democracy.

Saying one thing while doing another is a common tactic for fascists and terrorists. The 9/11 hijackers and Chiang Kai-Shek both had "good reasons" for killing all of their victims, at least according to their warped views of the world.

Do you agree with the Taiwan fascist and want all opinions (other than his) to be banned from YA? Or do you agree with me that YA is an open forum for everyone to participate in?

Yes, I am fully aware of the same "troll" you speak of - he blocked me too. He is the one who almost always win the Best Answer with the most votes here in the Taiwan category, because he uses his multiple accounts to vote for himself. He treats this category like his own little fief, and any dissenting opinions from his are always wrong, to be instantly drowned out with his verbose comments, and labelled "trolls." His questions and his answers are a non-stop barrage of Pro-Taiwan, pro-independence, anti-China, anti-unification - usually the same black & white narrow-minded views.

You are absolutely write that he wants to silence dissent (just like those he criticizes in the mainland) and claims to support freedom of speech and democracy, but he frequently acts in a fashion that is contrary to both. He is beyond just the simple term of "hypocrite" - he is far worse. Months ago I once saw someone from Taiwan criticize him for acting as the sole representative of the Taiwanese people and asked him to stop. I laughed because finally one person from Taiwan said what I had been thinking for a long time!

I am in full agreement with you that this is an open forum an even those against Taiwan's independence should be able to say what they like and participate without the self-appointed Taiwan dictator and his cronies giving their constant verbal abuse, thumbs down, and votes for the only dictator in Taiwan!!
