A Journey through Spain’s Architectural Traditions
Not all countries can swank of a cultural heritage reflected through well-preserved architectural structures like Spain has; the structures one can find in Spain conveys exciting stories about the historical landmarks of the country. It’s just that architectural structures can easily be lost through wars, through the pillages of time, and by formulating way to the structures of a new era. This isn’t exactly shocking, given the beauty that the varied architectural structures increase Spain’s landscape.
Preparing for a vacation in another country could change depending on what country you will go to, but there are general similarities that you can bear in mind. You could be looking at maps, booking rental cars and hotels, and planning your routes; though, don’t forget the essentials of such a trip because your ease and security should come first. The cultural influences of Rome could be seen in the construction of churches in the style of the temples of Cordoba in addition to in the Talavera la Vieja. There were also conversions in the kinds of structures being erected during those times; more religious structures were made, and this was the start of the construction of various affluent churches in Spain.
As Spain changes into a more Gothic style of architecture, some structures became an unique blend of Gothic and Romanesque styles. The first Gothic edifice in the country is the Cathedral of Avila and it is identified for it’s peculiarly Gothic and Romanesque appearance. It’s a cathedral that has subtle influences from Roman architectural trends but leans more towards the French and German influences.
There are many other marks that history left with Spain, and staggeringly, much of these marks are well-preserved. Taking the time to visit as loads of structures as you can in your visit could be actually worth your while.
