Yeah well (the second link especially) isn't western thinking. It's from someone who was born and raised and spent most of their life in China. Check it out.
And I don't believe this will lead to a USA-China war on any large scale. Could it? Of course but btwn the nuclear threat and the economic interests involed it's highly unlikely. Even if one of our ships is fired on, China is leaving itself wiggle-room and will blame NK's 'unstable leaderhip' imo.
Nothing to worry about. It is important not to ascribe Western thinking to Eastern minds. I have to think upside down and inside out to try using the Chinese Panasonic radio in my car. Only the Oriental mind could make a radio so complicated.

There are several reasons why there is nothing to worry about. Among the usual things like: this happens all the time, and the 'ballast' or momentum of tradition, meaning nothing's ever going to change unless there is a good reason. And what's the good reason? Because the son took over the dictatorship? Think about it; it's pretty shaky, they can't feed themselves, they can't keep themselves warm in winter, and hmmm, let's think....why is that?....
OH! because communism results in low productivity! Kind of like Soviet Collective farms and why the American Pilgrims starved the first couple of years because they had modeled their society on the New Testament, and so were communist. A couple of years into the New World Order, they assigned each family its own land and production increased, resulting in plenty.

Oh, I remember. North Korea is a Vassal State, meaning it is China's pit bull. N Korea can not feed itself or find enough fuel to keep people from death in winter (remember M.A.S.H.?) without outside help because like all communist nations, it produces not enough for its own people, let alone enough to trade with other countries for what it can not produce itself. Kinda like Cuba.
So whatever N Korea does, it is at China's behest. And China is dependent on USA to buy its stuff, its currency being pegged to the FedNote. HA!, they lose, because the FedNote is a fraud!
