KIDS FLOORING COVERINGS – A MAGIC CARPET RIDE

Choosing a floor covering where kids and pets are involved is very different to choosing an adults-only one. As we all know, kids have a different view on the world and for them, a floor covering can be anything from a football field to a battleground, a magical sea or a forest floor, a wrestling pen or a blank canvas (literally!) . Safety first

The safety of the children is paramount, so look for flooring that provides stability and cushioning in the event of a fall. What colour to choose

Dark carpets can be an effective way of hiding stains, dirty paw marks and some of your kids’ artistic endeavours, but it’s important to remember that dust, light coloured pet hair, spilt food and other bits show up more on a dark carpet than on a light one. Carpets in neutral browns and earthy tones are probably the best option for purpose and performance. They are also a practical decorating choice as you can easily combine them with a colourful rug or playmat. .
