One Spanish painter that made a clear mark of them all is Diego Velasquez; he became one of Spain’s highly influential and most respected painters during his time. Diego Velasquez’s family was a middle class during their time; he was born on June 5, 1599 and was the eldest child in the family with five younger siblings. Quite amazingly, he was able to initiate his lessons with Francisco Pacheco at the age of eleven; Pacheco was also acknowledged as a master painter and he helped develop Diego Velasquez to become a certified painter at a very young age. He married Pacheco’s daughter and worked by doing a number of paintings of religious themes and tavern pieces and saved enough to buy a house for his family and another house to rent out.

Many of the exceptional pieces were created by Diego Velasquez, which made him one of the country’s highly influential people and most celebrated painter.
