World War II medals and stars?
My grandfather was in World War II, and I was wondering about two decorations he received.
-Black, red, and yellow ribbon with one bronze star
-Asiatic-Pacific campaign medal wtih three bronze stars on the medal, and three on the ribbon.
If anyone is able to identify the first ribbon and the meaning of the star and the meaning of the six stars on the medal, that would be great.

BTW, I would ask my grandfather this, but he died more than ten years ago, so it'd be a little tricky to get anything out of him.
UPDATE: Found out that the BLUE, red, and yellow ribbon is the Presidential Unit Citation. Dunno about the star, though.
And I forgot one thing - my grandfather was in the Marine Corps, and was a T/SGT.
The Stars on the Presidential Unit Citation (PUC) are for additional awards. One star is equal to receiving the ribbon twice.
If the ribbon and the medal are a set, the stars are the same three stars, they are for battles fought in the theater of operations.
