Mexico City - A Hectic Town Which Includes A Brilliant Past

The capital of Mexico is Mexico City, and it features a little bit for any vacationer: ancient archaeological areas, a vibrant cultural background, a fascinating historical record, an exciting city feel, interesting markets, and tons of opportunities to do something fun. This city is built on what used to be Tenochtitlan, the capital city of the Aztec empire. Now it is a very important archaeological site, especially because it is where the Pyramid of the Sun, the largest pyramid by volume in the world, is located.

Chapultepec Park and Zoo is a large area that contains many great things to see and do, including the impressive Museum of Anthropology, the zoo, and several other museums and attractions. The Palacio de Bellas Artes is another culturally important spot. It is a theatre that features famous murals as well as hosts concerts and other performances.
